Bluehost 2.8.6 Update Not Working

    Hi, I host my WordPress website on Bluehost, and I just got my accounts on both yesterday. I was told that I have the option to update Bluehost from Version 2.8.5 to Version 2.8.6, but the update keeps failing.

    The error message says: “Update failed: Download failed. cURL error 7: Failed to connect to objects.githubusercontent.com port 443 after 4089 ms: Connection refused”

    Would love some help with this, thank you in advance.

    Of Bluehost…
    On my WordPress page, Bluehost is a plugin that integrates WordPress with my subscription to Bluehost. The plugin is literally called Bluehost Version 2.8.5, and that is what I’m having trouble updating.

    Here is a description of the plugin: “This plugin integrates your WordPress site with the Bluehost control panel, including performance, security, and update features.”

    Where did you acquire this plugin from?

    Bluehost is the hosting platform I use for WordPress, so I believe the plugin came directly from Bluehost. However, when I go to the Bluehost side of things, I don’t see anything in need of updating. It’s very confusing.

    Update: I ended up contacting Bluehost, and after many escalations (as in, my case had to go to various higher levels of the problem-solving hierarchy), the problem was resolved.
