Hello, does anyone have bluehost and is experiencing database or one click install issues?

Since last year, the one click install does not work, they say that I have to manually create and database and then link it to the WP one click install, one work, the second WP site didn’t work and then they told me to manually install the WP and also the database but now the Database admin shows only a black page of a error page. Support takes days if not weeks to reply. Are they going out business? Should I be concerned and move my sites to another hosting? I always had great experience but for that last few months is not the same, any feedback please? Thank you

This is one of the cpanel errors I get all the time at bluehost.com

    Internal Server Error

    500

No response from subprocess (cpanel (cpanel)): The subprocess died from signal 9 (KILL).

Try deleting cookies and temp files to refresh the cache. A 500 Internal Server Error is usually due to a timeout.

If that doesn’t solve it then contact Bluehost support and see if they offer any advice.

    Hello,

Sorry I never tried bluehost one-click setup, but I know it’s a serious hoster (even from the other side of channel). Do you have specific error messages to debug please?

Also, maybe you can try a full re-setup? Like trying to make a new setup on bluehost, using your changes as new template?

    Good luck,

Seems everything is solved now, an issue with BH db,

I just come across the same problem too. How did you solve it at last????

One-click install didn’t work for me just now, should have taken less than five minutes. Database does not recognize the user or password they just gave me. Bluehost is getting worse at customer service.

Tech support guy: Problems on their end, says it’s an issue in the database, blamed it on Mojo MarketPlace, told me he’d send me a guide on how to install WP manually. I said I would wait until they just fixed the issue and he said he can’t say when. Too bad.

I’m on the fence with Bluehost. I’ve hosted my own website there for 12 years. I’ve developed over 100 websites and have always recommended GoDaddy just due to better customer service. Sometimes Bluehost service fixes issues, sometimes they have no idea what they are talking about. And they sound as though they could care less.

Solution to this problem is to manually install wordpress, meaning download it from this site, and install using their instructions. That bites!! Should have taken five minutes, instead it’s taking over an hour to install and find it didn’t work, wait for BH service to answer, wait on hold while they go figure it out, then tell me they can’t do anything about it, blame it on Mojo, remove WP install that I just did, download it again, manually put it up.. etc. I’m not a happy camper at all. Bluehost you really need to get your act together.

I don’t really make comments or the likes but I felt compelled to sign up just to write here.

I was advised by a friend to join BlueHost as they had been good for him but unfortunately I had pretty much the same experience as all here seemed to have.

    That’s all of them together!

I had a nightmare and the issues with the one-click install were unbelievable. Shannablas.. I totally sympathise.

I had problems from the beginning like having to contact the support just to get my hosting “white-papered” even after confirming my account. The one-click was not working which seems to be an ongoing problem. I couldn’t even go through the long winded effort of installing WordPress myself. The MySql was down (probably depressed) and displaying an error that was so long it would take up about fifty lines to show here. It was just not working but according to the chat team it was! They suggested I change my cPanel theme to see if it would fix the problem which meant having to learn how to sign up and log into the “Web Host Manager”, understand it all and then attempt to change to a theme which as it turned out, didn’t even exist.

Their answer was “Oh! You’ll have to try and download some new themes then.” which meant another troll through more verbiage than the Bible.

Like Shannablas I had the same problem with the “chat” team sometimes being off hand and, with one tech in particular, being just blatantly arrogant.

    Isn’t Support supposed to support?

Sounds like a tongue twister but it’s the whole point really. Got very little. So little in fact that after 18 days of having no website I decided to cancel and get my money back.

They gave it back….so they CAN get something right!

I really wanted to give them another chance as I know that BlueHost has the facilities to suit me but after the last couple of day having a scout for good and bad BlueHost points…the bad outweigh the good.

    I don’t think I’ll bother.
