Bluehost “online store” plan issues

  • Since upgrading to bluehost “online store” from “basic” I’ve not been able to access the additional materials – you basically get a loading wheel and it never loads anything. After going through their customer service, it was determined to be incompatibility with woocommerce, and that I needed to contact them… although going on woocommerce’s website then directs one to here.

    I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling both plugins, and the incompatibility remains. Is there anything else you would recommend?

  • I can select variants on your site for all the items I tested. I do not see any loading bar. Can you describe in more detail where you can see the problem? Or have you already solved it in the meantime?

    You are describing a problem in the Bluehost interface. This has nothing to do with WordPress. The support of Bluehost should be able to recognize and solve this. I do not know in what form WordPress could play any role at this point.

    That’s frustrating to know – the person I spoke to from bluehost earlier today told me it was a woocommerce compatibility issue and that I had to go to woocommerce to deal with it. I’ll make sure to tell them this tomorrow when I get in contact with them again. Is there anything else I should tell them to help resolve this?

    It is the Bluehost interface that loads here. No one here at WordPress knows what is happening there in the background. Even someone from WooCommerce can’t judge that with such a blanket statement from the hoster. You would need much more information from Bluehost.

    You always have the option to find another hoster if you don’t like their service. WordPress with WooCommerce can be installed at quite a few without paying attention to compatibility with the hosting software.
