• Apologies for complete newbiness…I want to start a blog. SO today, I purchased a domain name, donwloaded wordpress from www.ads-software.com, signed up with Bluehost and ran the MOJO one-click-install as suggested.

Whilst installing new scripts, I got the message “We noticed the domain you are installing at is not set up yet with your hosting provider.
We can still install this, then once your domain is set up you will be able to see your installation.”

But aren’t Bluehost my hosting provider? Isn’t that what I’ve just paid for?

When I click on my domain, it doesn’t take me to a WP page, just to my domain name with a holding page for 123reg who I bought the domain name off.

    Confused!

I would discuss all this with the webhost. Contact Bluehost and discuss this with them

Are your name servers pointing to Bluehost?

Um – name servers? What are those? Sorry, I really am new to this!

They control where your domain is pointing. You’ll want to contact 123reg and have them update your name servers to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com

Thanks very much. I will try that now. Appreciate you making the effort to write back to me.

Of course. Post back if you are having more trouble. I’ll be glad to help.

Just want to let you know that even after updating the name servers, it may take few hours for the domain to properly point to your hosting.

So, if the site is not showing up right after you update the domain, wait few hours and check again.

I’m having the same trouble. I originally purchased a domain name through webs, which i switched to 000webhost about half a year ago, and now I created a wordpress site and want to keep my domain name. Since it’s wordpress I wanted to switch my host to Bluehost, so I pointed my name servers to bluehost. that was yesterday around 12. so it’s been about 14 hours. i went through webs (because it didn’t look like 000webhost had the domain transferring option) and redirected the name servers to bluehost. i also installed wordpress to the domain name through the bluehost tools. that was all 14 hours ago at least… but when i go to kidsanddragons.com/wp-admin it redirects to 000webhost site… did I do it wrong? did i just not wait long enough? shouldnt i see the login for the wordpress dashboard? please help!thanks
