Blurry header image

This seams to be a common issue. I have spent hours searching through forums for a solution without luck. My header is blurry on Zillah theme. I have tried jpg and png. I have tried the recommended size of 1000×250, smaller, bigger, 3x bigger, 4x bigger, 200 dpi, 300 dpi, 1200 dpi. Nothing matters. I save in maximum quality jpg in Photoshop. Still looks horrible. I have the same image on my Facebook and Twitter accounts without a problem.
