• Resolved silina

    Hi,
The images in our online store have suddenly become blurry a week ago. The originally uploaded images are of good resolution but looks like the settings are stretching them. I tried to amend the thumbnail width several times and Regenerated Thumbnails also multiple times, I also tried using couple of plugins to regenerate thumbnails but doesn’t seem like it’s helping. Any tips to fix this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you so much

  • Hello,

Sorry to hear about this issue.

Feel free to check this documentation to learn more how to fix blurry images:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/

Another approaching is that you can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin (please note it is a pretty old plugin, you can try if that helps in your case).
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

If that does not help, another thing you can do is to switch temporarily the site’s theme, instead Astra, you can temporarily switch the theme to Storefront, clear the site and browser caches, and check again the product page to see if the issue persists or not.

Let us know how that goes.

    Hi Igor,
Thanks a lot for your comment, much appreciated.

I have been through the document in your first paragraph but it didn’t help, I also added the plugin but same results :/

The last suggestion you said was to change the theme, can I do that? I’m worried it will scramble the whole website. Do you have any guide to help me learn more about this?

    Thanks again,
    Silina

    Hello,

You can back up the site, we never have too many back-ups,

The last suggestion you said was to change the theme, can I do that? I’m worried it will scramble the whole website

You can also create a copy of your site, for example, using WP Staging. That way, you can make the changes on the staging environment without touching the live site.

    I hope this helps.

I probably have to try that!

    Thanks again,
