BNFW has stopped working since update to WP 4.6

    BNFW has stopped working since we upgraded to WP 4.6 over the weekend. I’ve tried sending test message from it and those do not come through either, even though it says that they were sent. I have confirmed that other notifications and E-mails are still working from our WP site. I tried creating a new notification and also tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin, but neither worked.

    We only use this to notify us when a new Job is posted, but it is important.

    Any suggested things to try?

    Thanks for your message.

    In my recent testing, I haven’t come across any major issues with BNFW and 4.6.
    Is the Job posting created using another plugin?

    Yes, “WP Job Manager – WooCommerce Paid Listings”, however I can’t even send a test message from FNFW now, so I don’t think it is the trigger that is the problem.

    We do use a plugin for E-mail called “Easy WP SMTP”. Our E-mail flows through Office 365, which is the reason we use that plugin.

    This combination was working just fine until this weekend so I’m not sure what might have caused this other than the update.

    Hi TJ,
    It’s possible that another plugin update has caused a problem too.
    I’d recommend installing the Email Log plugin or replacing Easy WP SMTP with Postman SMTP and re-testing.

    If this still doesn’t work, in order to better narrow down the issue, i’d recommend making your way through this support document.

    I replaced Easy WP SMTP with Postman SMTP and it now is working, so there must be something changed in Easy WP SMTP that is preventing it from working with your plugin now.
