  • Look in the header.php file in your theme’s directory. That’s the file that creates that part of the page.

    Did you find out what caused this issue?

    For me it was simply a case of updating the theme to the latest version and making sure wordpress was up to date also. I could not initially update because of a SQL timeout which was locked down by my hosting company. Had to get them to manually update it for me. After the updates all was ok. Never changed any coding. Hope this is of some use to you.

    Going through the same problem. An Exact thing do come hoping so.

    That seems to be the hack issue, somebody hacked into your site

    I don’t think (in my case anyway) it was a hack issue. I had the problem from day one.

    It seems like (for me) it was due to unclean programming – I used to Theme Check Plugin to resolve some issues and now the XXX disappeared.
