Bold won’t hold

Hi, I’m working with the Musician Artist theme and even though I make my text bold in the edit mode when I go to preview it isn’t bold. The font doesn’t show up well enough on my background so I want it bold. I’m baffled why it won’t save and become part of the live site. The other changes I’ve made have saved and become part of the live site. Help!!!
