Your best bet would be to use the shortcode on a page and before the shortcode add your author bio, like:

JK Rowling was the author of the popular Harry Potter series of books for young adults.

    [book-reviews author=j-k-rowling]

Alternately, depending on how your theme handles category descriptions, you might be able to add a bio in the admin if you click on Authors from the Book Reviews menu, and add a bio to the Description field for that author.

sorry – I was not specific enough. I want to display the “Description” field in the “Book Author” section that is stored in your plugin’s data. Since it is already displaying the authors name on the page, I would like it to also display the description I wrote when I created the author record. I am a newbie to WordPress, but wouldn’t what you suggested force me to have a unique page template for every author? I wanted to make a custom page template with the format displaying the author, description and image (from what has been already entered), as well as a section for the unique review text itself.

    Thanks

That’s possible but not out of the box. It would need custom development in either the theme or a custom child theme. Author descriptions is not something that’s built into the plugin. I’ll keep it in mind for a future enhancement though!
