Book cover don't display

Because your theme does not display post thumbnails on the single post (in this case, single book review) page.

If you want the image to display on the single review page, you’ll need to add it to the content.

It is up to the theme to deal with handling the display of content. That is what themes are for — handling the display of your site.

So if your book cover isn’t in the content, you would like it to be, and it’s not something supported by your theme, you can create a custom single-book-review.php template file and add that to your theme, or you can just add it to the content of your review. The latter gives you the option to format the cover however you like with your content.

The theme I used in the screenshots is Responsive by Cyber Chimps, which is a free theme in the repository, though I did some customization to that theme. I’ve used it with my own theme (Museum Core https://www.ads-software.com/themes/musuem-core ) in testing and it works fine there.

Thanks, Chris. Reading the forum I found some references to a demo site using that Museum Core theme of yours, but the URL didn’t work, so I couldn’t see it in action. Anyway, I’ll give it a try.
