    Sorry about the delay in responding. The book cover feature is literally just the featured image used on other post types (like Posts) with a different label and just uses the built in WordPress media modal. If it’s not working, my guess is that featured images aren’t working across the board either, and in that case there’s probably a javascript conflict in your theme or a plugin that’s preventing that javascript from working.
