Book Recomendation

  • I am somewhat new to WordPress (but I love it) and PHP. I have some experience in html, perl, and stylesheets, but know NOTHING of php.

    I have found lots of useful information here for tweaking my theme, and have been successful at accomplishing what I wanted, but I want to learn how to make my own theme from scratch.

    I have been looking online at books, and what I want to know is –

    1. Is a wordpress book worth the money since so much info is here, and –
    2. Is a PHP book woth the money for the exact same reason.

    Would welcome any thoughts and opinions.
