• Hello everyone,

I’ve recently built my first WP website using the Astra theme with Elementor. It’s to sell tours. Last step is to add a booking calendar and payment gateway, but having big trouble finding what I need – which is really basic, but hard to find!

All I need is the following:

1: an integrated calendar that allows for multiple bookings on the same day.

2: to be able list 10 different prices (clickable or from dropdown menu) for each tour (the bigger the tour group, the cheaper the price per person).

3: a payment option – preferably Stripe/PayPal/direct transfer…a few options basically, nothing fancy.

Once booked, a customer will then get a confirmation email, confirming the date and price.

I’ve tested a huge number of plugins and am unable to find the above without either a large subscription fee, and/or tons of stuff I don’t need and won’t use.

I’ve already created my pages using Elementor, so don’t need all the templates, bells, and whistles that come with dedicated tour company plugins.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to a plug-in/method that would fit just what I’m looking for?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

    With thanks and best wishes,

    Michael

  • Hi! WooCommerce should easily fix points 2 (by using variable products with variations depending on the group size) and 3.

For point 1, from the WooCommerce dashboard you can look for the extension you need. You can use the search bar and try with different keywords. There are different options in terms of price and features, and you can filter the results.

I hope this helps, good luck!

    Hi again @peiraisotta,

Not far from finishing WooCommerce set-up for my site thanks to your solutions; just run into another snag I wonder if you could help with.

I’ve changed the ordering process slightly so when an order is placed, instead of ‘add to cart’ the button reads ‘checkout’ and redirects to the checkout page. However, at the top of the checkout page, I now get the following message once an order has been placed:

‘(product name) has been added to your cart VIEW CART BUTTON’

I need to either remove this message and the VIEW CART button entirely (preferable) or redirect the VIEW CART to the cart – this now redirects to the checkout page also.

I’ve had a very long hunt for an answer to either solution but the only code I can find to remove this message is always to remove it from its original location on the /cart/ page, not the /checkout/ page where it now lies following a product order. I’ve tried adding this code to the site on the off-chance but it has no effect.

Any thoughts again would be muchly appreciated ??

    Thank you,

    Michael
