Booking Close date / time will not accept same day bookings

I think I have found a bug…

I want to enable my users to book events on the same day, but no matter how many times I set my desired time (eg 5pm booking close for a 7pm event), the plugin overrides immediately on saving and sets the time to a default of midnight (00.00) that day.

Is there a global setting somewhere that need altering somewhere, or is this unexpected?
