Bookit creates Zoom Meeting with passwords to rooms

    Dear BookIt,

    Your plugin is awesome tool it helps to save time, nevertheless I enabled eRoom Zoom meeting creation automatically and it is working fine, except one detail. Zoom introduced default room password which is not send out to the meeting participant neither to the admin. It is basically I believe random value unknown to the user.
    Effect is that the end user is unable to join the meeting.

    Please let me know if my understanding is correct or I miss something,

  • Hi Dawid,

    Thank you for reaching out! Please be informed that the eRoom plugin that is responsible for the Zoom integration does not support Zoom rooms but the default scheduled meetings only, so, unfortunately, it will not send this room password. The plugin should be customized in order to make it work the way you need it.

    Hi Anna,

    I’m not sure what is the difference now between zoom rooms and default scheduled meeting.
    My situation is that the participants who booked the meeting on the plug-in calendar and have received the meeting link are not able to join, due to wrong password.

    Thank you for getting back and for the explanation provided! Now it is clear to me what you meant, sorry for the inconvenience that occurred. The Meeting that is generated after approving the appointment doesn’t generate a password for now, this option will be added in the upcoming update of the eRoom plugin

    Please find screen shots to show you how does it look like. Simply user cannot join the meeting.

    Hi @dawidskading,

    You are right. The update for the eRoom plugin with the option for autogenerated password will be released in several days, it is on the testing stage right now. You will need to update the plugin and enable the ‘Generate Password’ option
