Border on the text of the post not images

Hi..

My template looks like this

I want the text to have a left border like I already have..

The problem is that this border is on the paragraph tag. but when someone hits return when they want a breakline it creates a new paragraph tag.

This means that the line is broken and continued again on the next paragraph.. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
