Borlabs cookie and Adsense ads

    Hello,

    i need help. We have financeads and google adsense ads integrated with advanced ads pro. Now we have the problem, when we set the cookie “borlabs-cookie” should have the value “google-adsense” the specific ads will not be displayed.

    We have configured like this site for borlabs cookie 2.x:

    We do not use the global config for cookies in the plugin. Only the config for specific ads.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Do those ads appear without the visitor condition?

    Do you use any caching on your website, but the cache busting (Advanced Ads > Settings > Pro) is not enabled?

    Hey,

    no ads are displayed with this configuration. Only the financeads which do not have this cookie restriction. I tried with the cache busting, but still no change.

    I think the reason for this problem is that the cookie visitor condition asks for precise values. In contrast, the consent cookie option of the privacy module asks for entries contained in the cookie, not for the entire value.

    the value of the Borlabs Cookie on your site looks like this:

    I will discuss with Thomas on Monday if there is any option to extend the visitor condition with an option to identify contained entries in the cookie value.

    Meanwhile, I would use the global consent option.

    I was able to resolve this issue together with Klaus. It was caused by a wrong setting in the Cookie visitor condition.

    The reason for the issue was that the cookie visitor condition asks for precise values. In contrast, the consent cookie option of the privacy module asks for entries contained in the cookie, not for the entire value. Thatswhy, the condition did not work as you expected (See my last reply above for the code).

    We changed the configuration to show ads only with given consent but enabled the checkbox in the Financeads ad unit to make them ignore the global privacy settings.

    We are going to extend the cookie condition in the future.
