    Hi there,
    thanks for the nice plugin.
I’m using WP Cerber since a long time without any issue

a couple of days ago I saw an event in the activity listing:
Spam form submission denied Bot detected
    URL: <my-domain>.de/wp-admin/upgrade.php
I blacklisted the IP address used

    I’m using the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
using this plugin now shows two errors:

    – wp_version_check() has been deactivated by a plugin
    – Rest APi = 403

After running Health Check WP Cerber Security shows the following in the activity listing:

    Malicious request denied IP blacklisted
    URL: <my-domain>.de /wp-json/wp/v2/types/post
    and
    Logged out Site policy enforcement
    URL: <my-domain>.de/wp-admin/
and it shows my local name but not username used

WP Cerber is ver 8.3, WordPress is ver 5.2
Cerber main Settings – proactice security rules – all switches = on
Hardening WordPress – all nine switches = on

do you have any suggestion what to do?

    thanks and kind regards

    Hi there,
I believe I made a mistake by moving the IP adress on the black list. Checking the traffic inspector listing I found out that the event
“Spam form submission denied Bot detected
    URL: <my-domain>.de/wp-admin/upgrade.php”
happend, when I did run the update to WP 5.2. I removed the IP adress listed from the blacklist and now Health Check is reporting no issue.
I have 4 websites up and running and I found the same IP adress with the same event in the activity listings at the time when I manually started the update to WP 5.2

    thanks and best regards

Hi! You need to add the Administrator role to this list: “Allow REST API for these roles”. It’s on the Hardening tab.
