• Hello all, I’m building my first wordpress website using a template called hotheme. I’ve been able to use the template effectively except for the fact that my images seem to be consistently cut off at the bottom.

I’ve tried contacting the developer of this theme but haven’t had any replies. Can anyone lend a hand?

    Terry

    Hi,

Most likely the theme expects a given format on the images, and is cropping them if they don’t fit the expected sizes.

Unfortunately this doesn’t appear to be a free theme off www.ads-software.com so it’s hard for us to say as we don’t have access to the theme and can’t test or look into it our selves. As such, we do recommend getting in touch with the theme developers and waiting for their response on this. I see they have a contact address at https://www.hotheme.co/page-documentation.php#doc-9 for troubleshooting their theme.

    Hello Marius,
Thanks for the reply! I suspected the default size may be my issue though I can’t seem to find the size laid out in the documentation at all. I attempted to contact the theme’s developers nearly a month ago and have heard no reply. I’ll give it another shot.

In the meantime, would you have any idea where I might find the dimensions in the theme files? Would it be in the .css files? This theme was free but apparently not through www.ads-software.com. That’s where I’ll be going for my next site!

    Hi,

Image sizes are defined in the functions.php file (or one loaded by this file) and will be using the add_image_size() function call
