Bough domain name but don't know how to connect to my blod

  • Hi,
    I am VERY new to wordpress, and any aspect of creating a website.
    I purchased a domain name from GoDaddy yesterday, but haven’t purchased hosting yet.
    I am using www.ads-software.com, and don’t know how to connect my domain name to my blog. Again, I am very new to building a website and do not know much technical terminology. I’d appreciate if anyone could give me an easy step by step explanation on doing this. THANKS!

    Isn’t that link for websites created with wordpress.COM and not.ORG?

    Sorry nina, i’ve gone with the wordpress.COM because you’ve mentioned that you didn’t purchased hosting yet.

    I don’t know if you have an Idea about the difference between the wordpress.COM and www.ads-software.com but i’ll tell you (in case you had a wrong idea)

    wordpress.COM is used when you don’t have a hosting account (ex: Hostgator),all the content is hosted on wordpress servers for free with a subdomain (ex: nina.wordpress.com), but users can add their own personnalized domains if they purchase (like in your case)

    www.ads-software.com is used only if you have a hosting account (you didn’t purchase yet), all the content is hosted by your servers. You can add desired plugins themes …

    Now are you with wordpress.COM or www.ads-software.com

    Kindly purchase the hosting first.

    Then change the DNS on your godaddy account to point your domain name and hosting.

    After that you can install wordpress on it.
