    Hello,
We installed this plugin last month and very shortly after our bounce rate on Google Analytics dropped near to 0. After online research I learned that this happens when there are duplicate tracking codes. Once I uninstalled the plugin our Analytics results went back to normal.

We would like to use your plugin, can you please point me to any documentation that can explain how I can fix the duplicate code issue? We use GADWP plugin across the site now.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us!

It’s a simple way to use our plugin with GADWP. You can insert gtag.js snippet from GADWP & disable “Add Global site Tracking gtag.js” option from our plugin.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

For GADWP go to Google Analytics -> Tracking Code and enable use global site tag gtag.js (not recommended), to add gtag.js support.

Alin, two things: (1) I do not see the phrase use global site tag gtag.js (not recommended), anywhere in the settings for the GADWP plugin. (2) Our site is using v 5.2.2 and when I attempted to upgrade to v 5.3.1.1 today I got error Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. However, there are zero errors in the “Errors & Debug” section.

You need to install the latest version. The error you’re facing is related to your hosting provider, so you should contact them to fix the file permissions. For details please read https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_File_Permissions.

OK, file permissions restored, global site gtag.js enabled on one plugin and disabled on the other. Bounce rate stats look as expected.

Thank you both very much for your assistance.
