    Hello

Since i installed google site kit i’ve just noticed the bounce rate on GA raise from 30% to 75%
And some friends who use it as well get the exact same result.

I guess site kit is tracking differently from previous plugin, have you notice the same ?
    Can we fix this ?

    Regards
    Thomas

@thomasrz Can you let me know the following and we can hopefully assist.
    – What is your site URL, so we can check your URL setup. (ie. WordPress install within a non WordPress site)
    – Are you checking the bounce rate from within Site Kit or from the Google Analytics platform directly?
    – Did you apply any views to the Analytics module when setting up Analytics?

Overall the bounce rate shouldn’t be impacted with the installation of Site Kit, with the Analytics module only placing the Google Analytics snippet in the front end. It doesn’t not making alterations to the appearance or functionality of your website, key factors in bounce rates.

Here is my URL : https://moncoachdenatation.fr
I checked on both plateform and results are similar

Did you apply any views to the Analytics module when setting up Analytics?
I am not sure to understand the question

@thomasrz thanks for the info. We’re referring to views you can set up in Analytics (with which you can apply filters and other customizations). You can choose which view to display for Site Kit in the settings.

Currently, I see in the source code that you’re using Google Tag Manager and perhaps the Analytics tag to insert the code for tracking.

Could you confirm that you’re not using Site Kit to insert the tracking code for your site?

@thomasrz I’m following up on your support topic. Are you able to confirm the above?

Yes i am using GTM for tracking

I confirm i am not using Site kit for tracking code

@thomasrz Thanks for the update. If your bounce rates display similar results between your Analytics web interface compared to your Site Kit dashboard (screenshot) it may be difficult to determine the causes of any recent changes in your bounce rate.

The webmaster support forums may be a useful resource for additional information on bounce rates.

Did you make any other changes to your site apart from install Site Kit?

    Thread Starter thomasrz

    (@thomasrz)

No i haven’t made any other change.
And some friends had notice similar changes with installing site kit

I may remove it and compare without if it go back to normal

@thomasrz It would be great to know more if you manage to uncover more findings. Site Kit operates in the WordPress administrator panel, the plugin itself not making any changes to your front end code other than inserting the product snippets.

If you’ve added features to your site via Google Tag Manager and inserted the Tag Manager snippet via Site Kit there is a possibility that these features you added may impact your bounce rate. But feel free to share any findings with us.

@thomasrz Just following up with you to check whether you were able to unearth any additional findings with your website and Site Kit enabled?

@thomasrz since we have not heard from you, I’m marking your topic as resolved. If you have any further concerns, please open a new topic.
