Boxed width size?

I using Make in the ‘Boxed Width’ size and cannot work out the ideal size for landscape images.

Whether I use the ‘Banner’ bit in the builder template / or I add a slider, the images are all bit unclear.

Using a sizing of 1000×300 isn’t too bad but I’d love to know the width of the boxed template.
