BP attachments and groups suggestion

Thanks for your feedback, that’s an interesting point. One of the reasons we have delayed Attachments for single groups is about this topic. Here are some questions we haven’t decided about their responses:

1. Should Media attached to group be only reachable from the group’s attachment page? Or should it depends on the group status, eg: Public group’s Attachments also listed in the Attachments directory ?
2. How to deal with media ownership when it is attached to a group?
3. Should Media attached to a group be also listed into the user’s (who uploaded it) Media library? In other words, should we be able to manage group’s media from the user’s media library ?
4. Who can create folders into a group? Admin only, Admin + mod, all members ?
5. Who can delete folded or Media etc.. ?

1. Should Media attached to group be only reachable from the group’s attachment page? Or should it depends on the group status, eg: Public group’s Attachments also listed in the Attachments directory ? Media should live with the group not with the site in general regardless of the group status
2. How to deal with media ownership when it is attached to a group? – uploader should keep ownership the media exists in their media library on their media page in addition to the group
3. Should Media attached to a group be also listed into the user’s (who uploaded it) Media library? In other words, should we be able to manage group’s media from the user’s media library ? See previous
4. Who can create folders into a group? Admin only, Admin + mod, all members ? Handle like invites set as option in the group in BP attachments complement is active.
5. Who can delete folded or Media etc.. ? Site admin, group admin and owner should have ability to delete media backend setting should be available to set that for each group (similar to the invite option in a group) the and site general (like media,upload permission in the attachments options settings)

Some additional considerations.

Group owner can upload media and set visibility to that item on a group basis, or group member basis. Meaning, as a group owner I might want to upload an image that only one other group member can see.
