BP Group Categories/Types Hierarchy

  • This plugin is much needed as I have been looking for several years for a script/solution whereby the hierarchy for groups can be as:
    1.) Top level shows STATES only.
    2.) User drills down to CITIES/TOWNS
    3.) then the user either joins or creates a group in their CITY/TOWN in a group type with a minimum of three types for this level created and labeled by Admin.

    The current version of BP Group Categories/Types shows all Top Categories and Sub-Categories when in the Group Directory. Can the Group Directory be configured to show only -1 Global Categories? In my example, the STATES would be listed alphabetically as the top of the hierarchy in the Group Directory and the user would then select his/her state, then CITY/TOWN, then a LOCAL GROUP from three TYPES or create a local group of one of the three types if one does not already exist.

    @jeeperscats This hopefully will be in the next update of the plugin.. the trouble is for me trying to find time to do it… plus I start school again in a few weeks and I am currently at band camp… and I have vacation this next week… so as much as I want to get this done I don’t see it happening for a month or so

    I’m looking for the same kind of organization ability at @jeepercats is. Your plugin will definitely be a huge improvement to Buddypress. Great work!
