bpfed_image_js is hanging

  • We have an active BBPress/BuddyPress install with about 100 concurrent active users. We are using this plugin, with the image_insert feature turned on.

    THe admin-ajax.php?action=bpfed_image_js call is killing our performance. On occasion, it’s taking over 45seconds to return.

    Is there another way to load that bpfed_image plugin for TinyMCE? Can is be a conditionally loaded in the footer after tinymce is loaded? (https://archive.tinymce.com/wiki.php/Configuration3x:oninit)
