BPS causes my HTML sites to show Forbiddn

What changes are necessary I know now its back to the older posts, also didn’t want no security applied to other sites. I need all the security I can get on all my sites HTML & WP. ??

Followed instructions, commented out Options and changed folder name respectively.

Wasn’t sure about pasting entire htaccess file here, but would love to get this right.

I uploaded that htaccess to the Html Site folder and get 500 error with or without BPS on.

This code below is incorrect. Don’t make any changes to the code and just copy the entire code in this link: https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/bps-html-htaccess-file-for-html-websites-or-subfolders/ into a Notepad text file and follow the rest of the instructions.

I have copied the code you can delete it. That code is junk.

So I don’t need it in my site htaccess?

I have another alternative solution for you to use. You will treat your additional sites as if they were 3rd party applications outside of WordPress and tell your WordPress site .htaccess file to ignore those other sites.

Find this code in your WordPress .htaccess file…

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

…and then add the folder names of your other sites in this code and paste it below the code above in your root .htaccess file.

# RewriteRule for Custom Apps outside of WP
RewriteRule ^blah.com/ - [L]
RewriteRule ^foobar.com/ - [L]
