BPTP plugin breaks publish and visibility panel wp 3.2.1

upgraded to 3.2.1 and quickly noticed when editing pages that the publish and visibility panel was acting buggy. When I would click “edit” to change the visibility settings or the publish date the “edit” link would disappear.

I found some info related to this problem (https://ghostleg.com/blog/2009/12/fix-problems-wordpress-publish-visibility-panel/)
and it mentioned that it was probably a plugin issue. After disabling all and re-enabling them one at a time the offender is BuddyPress Template plugin. I upgraded it to the latest version but this did not help.
