Bracketed content missing from notifications

Thanks again for a great plugin, and I’m hoping you can help with an issue I’m noticing:

The email notifications seem to exclude any content that appears in brackets in a post.

Because we are a news site, sometimes we have to clarify what people said by summarizing or paraphrasing parts of quotations, and it is standard style in the media industry to do so inside of brackets.

Any ideas on how to make it so that this content still shows up in email notifications for our subscribers?
