    Hello –

Our feed is generating nothing in the BRAND field, the entire column is blank.

We have the field set to BRAND (DYNAMIC ATTRIBUTE) yet it’s blank. all 3000+ products on our website have a brand using a plugin.

Additionally, we told Google Merchant Center to fetch the feed daily from the URL in the plugin, yet every fetch says this:

    ERROR: Too few column delimiters.

Here is a link to the spreadsheet with the brand column blank:

I also can’t figure out how to deal with the google_product_category field, because our categories on our site are not the same as Google.

Here is a screen shot of the mapping, the brand is not populating the spreadsheet, neither is the Google Category, which I filled out completely in the categories settings.

I think this is the same problem as Kandap and me have too.

Yup, I believe so…I’ve been messing with it for days and cannot get the brands to populate, nor the categories that I specified in the categories mapping. Bth columns are completely blank.

    Hi all,

Just to let you know I am on it. Trying to push out a release the upcoming days that will solve the issue at hand.

    Apologies for the bug.

    Have a nice weekend,

Thank you! Will both the missing BRAND field and the missing GOOGLE CATEGORY fields be fixed?

I LOVE the plugin but I have 3300+ products missing in Google Shopping now ??

    @joyryde,

That depends, if both fields are Dynamic attributes on your WooCommerce store than yes.

Expect a release of the plugin this evening that solves the issue at hand.

    All the best,
    Joris

    @joyryde,

Just to let you know that I have just pushed our a new version of the plugin (version 2.0.2) that should fix the issue at hand.

Could you re-run the project and see if the attributes are in? If they are not you would probably have to configure a new product feed to get it to work.

Please let me know if it worked out. My apologies for the bug.

    All the best,
    Joris

    Updating your plugin now.

Brands are dynamic via Perfect WooCommerce Brands because Woocommerce didn’t have a brands option in their plugin.

Categories come from your plugin but do not populate the feed. In my prior screenshot you can see that my categories are set to use your categories for Google Shopping:

I will manually refresh the feed now, thank you for your help!!

    Hi Joyryde,

I know it seems confusing but what you need to do to get the category / Google taxonomy mapping to work is:

Map the category attribute like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/q2w775iagllqx7b/joyryde.png?dl=0

And than do the actual mapping of your categories to Google’s categories on the next page, looking like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/yrbmx0zedsv1ro9/google-cat.png?dl=0

    Hope this helps.

    All the best,
    Joris

All of the mappings are already done…but I guess I need to change the attributes to be “Category” instead of “Google Product Category”. That is confusing! Why are there 2 options?

That field is there so one can build filter and rules specifically on Google product categories and Google product category ID’s. In our YouTube tutorial we show what on what attributes you need to map everything (in order to prevent confusion :-)).

    Best,
    Joris

Hi, I updated the plugin. I refreshed the feed. I downloaded the new feed to Google Sheets, and both the brand, and the category are blank.

    See here:

Are you creating a CSV or XML feed for Google’s merchant center? Try XML if you are currently using CSV.

    Thread Starter joyryde

    (@joyryde)

I used CSV for both Bing and Google (Neither work on either platform). I’ve always used CSV with Google so I picked that…I will change it now and resubmit!

Making progress! It’s accepting the feed now but the categories are wrong now that you had me change that mapping. Google says it’s showing MY categories (see below) not THEIR categories, so I am guessing that I should NOT be using the “Categories” mapping and should switch it back to “Google category”?
