Brand Field is Blank

    Hello –

    Our feed is generating nothing in the BRAND field, the entire column is blank.

    We have the field set to BRAND (DYNAMIC ATTRIBUTE) yet it’s blank. all 3000+ products on our website have a brand using a plugin.

    Additionally, we told Google Merchant Center to fetch the feed daily from the URL in the plugin, yet every fetch says this:

    ERROR: Too few column delimiters.

    I also can’t figure out how to deal with the google_product_category field, because our categories on our site are not the same as Google.

    Fixed the categories. Some category names had changes, so the mappings had to be re-done from scratch. I’d assumed that they’d update via the plugin but found that the rows were blank. That part is all set!

    Conversion tracking and Google Analytis settings

    Analytis should be Analytics

    Everything is working now thanks to your update! My only remaining issues are these formatting errors in the Merchant Center:

    United States, English
    File pre-processing: Completed – 3166 valid / 3181 processed
    Basic product data completeness and correctness

    15 errors

    15 ERROR: XML formatting error.
    Our system encountered an error when processing your data feed.

    Could you send me the URL of the XML you generated. I will have a look if I can see what is causing these errors. Nonetheless I am happy you got 3166 valid products in your merchant center ??

    Just an FYI, in case you want to troubleshoot the plugin using my site, now that the feed has been automatically refreshed by Google, it’s failed again:

    United States, English
    File pre-processing: Completed – 3166 valid / 4186 processed

    1020 errors
    1000 ERROR: Duplicate item.
    20 ERROR: XML formatting error.

    Strange, can you email the XML file you uploaded to Google’s Merchant Center? I will upload it into our test Merchant center to see if I can replicate the issue.

    It’s resolving itself now, my guess is that the feed was refreshing when Google attempted to download it.

    I am sill seeing consistent XML formatting errors though:

    15 ERROR: XML formatting error.
    Our system encountered an error when processing your data feed.

    Will close this issue now as the original brand issue has been solved. The XML formatting error issue is on my to-do ??
