Brand page breadcrumb

We are keen to have the breadcrumb visible on the brand page match the slug in General settings, which is “winemakers”, instead of ‘Brands’. The url is correctly pulling the slug as can be seen by mousing over it. I’ve tried a breadcrumb filter to change the name using “woocommerce_breadcrumb_defaults” but this doesn’t appear to work.

Any help would be appreciated.
