    Hi,

We’ve been using this plugin for 2 years without problems, until today, when we found that the Brands page on our website won’t load.

    It says:

    BRANDS

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 69632 bytes) in djdeals.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 2678

    Hi joyryde,

If you have updated to 1.7.8 version recently try downgrading to the previous version and test if error persists. What PWB shortcodes are you using in the brands page?

    Hi!

Rolling back to 1.7.7 fixed the issue immediately, so it’s 1.7.8 that’s causing issues.

    We use this shortcode:

    [pwb-all-brands per_page=”200″ hide_empty=”true” order_by=”name” order=”ASC” title_position=”none”]

Honestly, we’ve always been pretty unhappy with the way the plugin creates the Brands page. The plugin is awesome, except for that one feature. Other plugins create much easier to read pages like this:

    https://storefront.premmerce.com/brands/

Would be awesome if ours looked organized like that too!

    Hi joyryde,

We will fix the issue as soon as posible, thanks for reporting.

You can built a brands grid like the example using “pwb-all-brands” and some basic CSS rules… Also remember to upload the brand logos at the same size for better looks.

    Hi again joyryde,

One question… ?Do you have a lot of products configured as hidden (excluded from catalog for example)?

    Thanks!

We have never heard of that feature, so no.

What PHP version are you using? Try updating to 7.3 (especially if you are using PHP5), newer versions manage the memory much better.

I just updated all of my sites to 7.2 today. I will reactivate the new version and check.

OK, the new PHP version seems to help the page load…do you have any css tricks to make it look better? I’d rather not start all over with a new plugin just for that!
