    But there are other strings that are translated correctly? If so the there is a chance that you have a language directory in your theme. Look for a fr_FR.po file, open it with poEdit and search for Home … If you can not find it look into the theme files where the word “Home” is stored. It should be a paramter of a function like __(), _e() or similar. Let me know how it looks like.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

    I think there will be no problem to have a translation in Marathi.

    Thank you Dennis. Yes there is a “lang” directory in the themes. In it there is fr_FR.po and .mo. I opened the fr_FR.po in notepad, saw that there is below code:

    # <div class=”container”>
    # ‘.__(‘Home’,’spatreats’).’‘;
    # if( !is_front_page() && !is_home()) {
    msgid “Home”
    msgstr “Maison”

    Is this the correct place? It’s the only one I found but still doesn’t fix the problem.

    Maison is not the correct French translation for “Home”. It should be “Accueil”. I have changed it, saved it and uploaded it. But nothing changed on the website.

    I deleted the .mo and .po from the hosting and the word in the breadcrumb becomes “Home”. So I think it has something to do with these files, but I’m not seeing where exactly I need to change.

    Appreciate your help.

    OK, you should use poEdit for .po files. When one saves a file in poEdit it compiles automatically a .mo file which has a binary format and it is the important one for the gettext-part.
