    Hello!

I’m using Yoast SEO to generate the breadcrumbs and it is working when I place the shortcode on pages like my blog page. But it is not working properly in posts as it shows every post name instead of only the single specific post. I couldn’t find any solution or guide talking about this kind of error. Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

    Thank you!

    @rafaelzrt

    Thank you for reaching out.

I checked one of your post and noticed issue in breadcrumb as you’ve described.

Further inspecting the page source?of the breadcrumb, it doesn’t seem to be outputted by Yoast SEO plugin which your theme or another plugin is adding it.

Further, to confirm if it’s a Yoast breadcrumb, can you temporarily disable the Yoast SEO plugin and check if still the breadcrumb shows up. If it does, then breadcrumb is outputted by your theme or another plugin. We suggest doing further conflict check to find the root cause.

Can you inform us of the results?

Hello. Thank you for your reply.

It is really done with Yoast SEO, I used the shortcode [wpseo_breadcrumb]

I turned off the Yoast SEO plugin now so we can test as you suggested, it just shows up the shortcode [wpseo_breadcrumb] now.

As it is a new installation in development, there was few active simple plugins. I tried to turn all them off and letting only Yoast SEO on, but the problem persist.

    Hello @rafaelzrt,

    Please try the following:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.

Thank you for the support. I followed your instructions but unfortunately, it didn’t solved the problem.

I did a test now and created a new Post “test” and noticed it doesn’t get the same error.

So I think it is something related to the pre existing posts that I imported from an old website. New posts are not getting this error. But I don’t know what could be causing this as I checked the configuration of Yoast SEO for both posts and they are the same.

I will try to clean everything and use another plugin to import the posts to check out if that is the problem.

I managed to make it work now. I used “WP Import Export Lite” and it imported correctly the categories. Perhaps there is an issue with “Import WP” plugin with categories. The Yoast SEO breadcrumb is working now.

Sorry about this. Thank you very much for your support.

    Hi,
I have the exactly same issue, I tried everything mentioned above but no results for me.
    Any help really appreciated.

    All the best.
