Breadcrumb toggle not showing

    Hi there,

    I have installed the Yoast Plugin today and am generally satisfied. However, one thing frustrates me a lot, and that is the fact that I am not able to turn off breadcrumbs. I do not need them for my small site, all the pages are accessible from the header menu. So I want to turn them off, but the toggle to turn them on or off is simply not there above the breadcrumb setting in the Advanced tab. And they are showing on my website now, which I very much dislike. Can someone please help me?

    The Yoast SEO breadcrumbs enable/disable option only appear when you implement the breadcrumbs on your site. However, if you didn’t implement the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs and the enable/disable option isn’t appearing in the advanced Yoast SEO settings, this means the breadcrumbs you are seeing isn’t generated by the Yoast SEO. It is probably generated by your theme.

    Thank you for your response. Sadly it doesn’t make much sense to me.
    How would I implement the breadcrumbs without the enable/disable toggle?
    It is not the theme. I have had it for quite a while, and the breadcrumbs appeared right after installed the Yoast plugin. If I cannot resolve this problem soon I will uninstall it and look for another SEO plugin.

    The Yoast SEO breadcrumbs require adding code snippets to your theme files as this allows you or your designer to customize the breadcrumb design and location.

    That being said, the Yoast breadcrumbs feature can be disabled under

    SEO > Advanced* > Breadcrumbs

    * If you do not see Advanced, the advanced settings can be enabled by following the steps here.

    If the breadcrumb feature is set to disabled, Yoast is not configured to output breadcrumbs and something else on your site must be handling the breadcrumb output.
