After pushing my site from local on Local by Flywheel to a Flywheel staging server, Yoast breadcrumbs show my local url’s, not the staging url’s. All other pages are linking perfectly well.

  • Try hitting up Flywheel support through their chat. They’ve always been super helpful on the sites I have hosted with them.

It sounds like there just needs to be a Find and Replace done on the database to update the URLs, but they should be able to help point you in the right direction.

Thank you @theheartpixel. Seems to be a Yoast issue. I did reach out to Flywheel. Agree, their support is great. Here’s what they said:

“As automatic search-and-replace tasks are kicked off once the data has been pushed up, so I’m wondering if Yoast regenerated/kept hold of the Local URL even after the push finished. If URLs are encoded in a weird way (or are stored as serialized data), they may be skipped by the search-and-replace tasks.”

No tweaking should be necessary post-migration. For 100% of WordPress stored data and all other plug-in data, 100% gets migrated properly.

A guess: this issue may have begun when Yoast introduced a new way to store SEO relevant data. Again, again guess.

@jritt We are aware of this issue with Yoast SEO and there is currently an issue report open with our developers. However, at this time we are unable to provide an ETA as to when this will be resolved, as currently the issue is in a queue and we can’t say how much time will be required before our developers can address the issue.

@jritt You’re welcome, and we do apologize for any difficulties this bug is causing you. We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved but if you require any further assistance please create a new issue.

I am having this problem as well. This is really a bad bug for me. Any ETA to correct it?

I resolved this by changing my Permalinks to Plain and Saving them and then going back and changing this to Postname (my desired permalink).
