BreadcrumbList missing item in structured-data tools

    Hi,

    I received an error that “missing a item field” in the structured-data tools, how could I fix it?

    This is due to the lack of a link on the last breadcrumb in the trail. There are two solutions. Either enable linking the current item (under the General tab in the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page), or change the unlinked breadcrumb templates from: <span property="itemListElement" typeof="ListItem"><span property="name">%htitle%</span><meta property="position" content="%position%"></span> to <span class="%type%">%htitle%</span>

    Hi,

    Thank you so much! It does worked. But After doing so, the entire title appear in the serp, which I only wish to show a slug ( yoast plugin ) refer to https://yoast.com/site-stand-out-search-results/

    How could I achieve it? Thanks!

    I have followed the above and my current post/page is still not detected as the final breadcrumb by the Google validator

    As far as I recall, Google does not recognize the current page as part of the breadcrumb trail (never shows up in SERPs). Google only detects breadcrumbs that have links (e.g. you need to enable the link current item option in Breadcrumb NavXT).
