Breadcrumbs Issue for Web stories

I have the same exact issue.
I found some earlier threads that mentioned the issue was caused by Yoast wordpress plug- in.
Previously when I had this issue, I turned off the Yoast and the issue went away.
This time I turned off Yoast and it seems I’m still experiencing this issue.

We understand that you are using the Web Stories plugin on your sites and that you experience an issue regarding the schema output on the stories.

Looking at URL one and testing it through the RDTT, it looks like the second item in the breadcrumbsList does not have a item/name.

We have had an issue in the past with Web Stories where this might be caused, are you running the latest version of both the Web stories plugin and Yoast SEO?

If you are, please check your settings under SEO → Search Appearance → Post Types (tab) → Web stories: check what you have configured under Breadcrumbs title under the Stories archive settings. If that is empty; please give it a title and check if the issue persists.

I have the same problem with Anas631 , but I do not use the web stories plugin, and the SEO tool of the Yoast plugin is disabled and does not analyze my site ever .

If your Yoast SEO is deactivated and you are not using the web stories plugin, then you could have a totally different cause/issue but the same/similar breadcrumbs issue as a result. Please check with your site/theme developer for that. Thanks.

under the Stories archive settings, I have already selected:

Title, Post type (plural), Page, separator, site title.

@jeroenrotty Thank you for getting back to me. Yes the breadcrumbs was empty like you mentioned and I have added “stories” to it. Besides, I also found this previous thread and installed this mini-plug in which is supposed to fix the error.

How long should we see the change after doing above?
Is it immediate?
I just went back to my stories and some still get the same error message.

I have already disabled it, because the yoast plugin has stopped analyzing SEO and also I am unable to share my articles on social media with preview pictures . And some Preview images for articles that I shared before have disappeared

Based on your description of your issue, it doesn’t look related to the breadcrumb schema output issues regarding Google Web Stories and Yoast SEO.

Just to clarify, have you already resolved the issue regarding the original concern of “Either ‘name’ or ‘item.name’ should be specified / Missing field ‘item’ ” for your web story (https://techalert24.com/web-stories/m1x-macbook-pro-14-and-16-with-512gb-of-storage-and-16gb-of-ram-have-been-leaked-ahead-of-their-launch)?
