Breadcrumbs not working unless in page.php

Since the last update I have been struggling to make my WooCommerce Breadcrumbs work

I have had to resort to adding <?php WooCommerce_breadcrumbs() ;?> into my theme’s Page.php file, just into the header section.

When I place it anywhere with the WooCommerce pages the breadcrumbs fail to appear and it is bugging me…

At the moment I have lots of pages that are showing the WooCommerce-breadcrumbs that I don’t want, I simply want to assist shoppers to navigate around the shop.

Any suggestions about how I get it to work or other ways I can get navigation tabs at the top of the shop page that work just on WooCommerce pages only.
