Hi! I’m a happy user of your awesome little plugin that does everything I expect of it. Now I’m running into a silly issue that may be caused by my limited understanding of formatting text… On the link to the page I need help with you’ll notice I’ve used HTML tags to make scientific species names italic, and the name/year of the person who first described the species a tad smaller than the rest of the title. This works well except for that the html tags for italic text now appear in the breadcrumb, which is not what I prefer.
So far the species in the page linked is the only one I’ve modified, the rest of the page titles on my website are without html tags (for now).
Is it possible to have the breadcrumb plugin ignore html tags somehow? Or should I use a different method to make parts of the page titles italic in order to avoid this problem (if so, that’s beyond my understanding)?

For now I’ve ‘solved’ the problem by using Yoast breadcrumbs but I do think Flexy BC look better. Yoast’s breadcrumbs don’t show markup tags.

    Sure, no problem @arsalanahmed901

    Here’s a link to a screenshot:

For the screenshot I activated both Flexy Breadcrumb (top) and Yoast breadcrumb (bottom) in the footer.
The red arrows point to the <i> and </i> tags I’d rather not see (and when the mouse cursor is hoovered over the breadcrumb it also shows <small></small> tags).
The green area indicates the Yoast breadcrumb. As you’ll notice it doesn’t show the HTML markup tags (but it doesn’t look as nice as Flexy BC and there’s not a lot I can do to make it look better with my limited knowledge).

    The full title of this page is <i>Trithemis kirbyi</i> <small>Selys, 1891</small> - Orange-winged Dropwing

And the link to this page itself:
    https://dragonflies.online/true-dragonflies-anisoptera/libellulidae-skimmers-or-perchers/trithemis-kirbyi-orange-winged-dropwing/

I’ll keep both breadcrumbs activated for now so you can look into this. Thank you for your willingness to resolve this problem!

    Hi,

I don’t want to sound impatient or pushy or something, but do you know when-ish I can expect a new release? At the moment I’ve still both flexy and yoast breadcrumbs enabled on my website for comparison / trouble shooting. I’d love to remove the redundant second breadcrumb code or hide the flexy crumb until the update has been rolled out. Do you still need the flexy breadcrumb on my website to be visible for trouble shooting?

I understand that fixing things takes time so don’t feel rushed by me.
