Breaking up Large Blogger XML file

I have a client that was on blogger for years who is now moving to WordPress. The exported blogger file is way too big to import (16mb)and I need to break the file up in order to import the content. Any links to or suggestions for how to do this?

p.s. already tried the online converter its too big it throws server errors when trying to parse it.
