Hi, currently this plugin can only generate one News Sitemap, which is limited to 1000 posts.
Are you publishing more than 500 posts per day? If so, then the news sitemap may be missing some of the older posts. Still, that should be enough for Google News as it should visit your news sitemap more than just once a day. It will have indexed all older posts already so they do not need to remain in the news sitemap…
Only if you post more than 1k per day I’d start to worry. Is that your case? Then you could wait for the next release of the Google News Advanced plugin that will extend XML Sitemap & Google News with a news sitemap index and multiple news sitemaps.
