Simply enabling the plugin, without changing any settings at all, results in no menu items (with the exception of a couple of WooCommerce links, added via an Avada them hook) being rendered.

I’m using Avada 3.9.3. Not my choice of bloatware, but it’s popular. I’m not that keen on updating it, once bitten twice shy on that front.

  • Hi @hughc

What do you see on the menus page after activating the plugin? Are you able to provide a screenshot URL of what you see?

    Thanks

@hughc – Can you show the admin for your menu as well as the front end where links are not rendering?

Specifically what settings are set for a menu item that is missing on the front end currently so I can see what could possibly be the issue.

As mentioned, I haven’t actually started working with the plugin’s options at this point, so my expectation was that the defaults would leave existing menu items untouched, but for some reason with my version of Avada, that’s not the case.

@hughc – Can you send me (privately) a copy of the theme so I can try testing. But from the looks of things you have another plugin enabled that does the same thing or the Avada theme already provides similar options which are conflicting somehow.

In the last screenshot of the menu editor you will see a dropdown labeled “Who Can See This Link?”. That option is the only one on your editor that comes from our plugin. If you chose Logged in more options would appear.

But that means that the “Display Mode” option above it which has 3 radio options that match our dropdown is not from our plugin. Does that option come from Avada or is another plugin enabled that could be also conflicting?

Sorry for the million questions, but it appears that the only known potential issue doesn’t apply here as all the fields for multiple plugins and themes are displayed correctly. Just trying to get to the bottom of it with as little back and forth as possible.

Can you check if disabling any other plugin removes those radio options? If so then that plugin may be something we need to test with as well.

Sorry, you’re right – someone else has already installed another plugin doing a similar thing .

    Please mark resolved.
