• Hello,
I just took over maintenance on a site that has 58 active plugins (down from 78) and when I activate this plugin I lose the ability to edit a post or page from either the links on the post/page or the front end menu button or even from the wp-admin side.

The theme is Headway and I can list all the active plugins if needed. I just wanted to see if you have heard any others complain of this.

Not sure why this plugin would intercept the page/post edit link. When I click the edit button all I get is a white screen of death. No errors, no nothing. Checked the error logs and nothing there either. Even if I turn on WP Debug, nothing…

    Thanks for any insights…

This is the first we’ve heard of this issue. Eyes Only has no interaction whatsoever with the post/page edit buttons, so that’s an enigma. What’s stranger is getting the white screen but no errors with WP Debug activated. You set Debug to true in wpconfig.php?

I’m also not sure what you mean by “intercept the post/page edit link.”

Yes debug was set to true and also display all errors, etc…

What I meant by that is why would this plugin come between the edit button and the actual edit screen. I had deactivated all plugins and then tested one by one till I hit it on this one.

I was thinking some JavaScript at first, but then why would that stop anything…

I am still trying to look through it all myself, just thought I would put it out here in case you or someone else had this problem. I even thought maybe it was Headway…

Can you try briefly switching to another theme to see if that removes the conflict? If so, we can troubleshoot the conflict with Headway.

Also maybe try going to the Eyes Only settings page and setting both the Meta Box Access and Shortcode Button Access to “Disable for Everyone.” If that removes the conflict, try enabling them again one at a time, checking each time to see which one is the culprit, or both.

Also, it might actually be one of the plugins that you enabled prior to enabling Eyes Only. A conflict between Eyes Only and one of those plugins. You say you disabled all plugins, and the problem didn’t occur until you reenabled Eyes Only. How many plugins did you enable before Eyes Only? It could also be one of those.

Okay, did the settings thing in Eyes Only and still no good. I have to do the other testing that you suggest and get back to you. I was thinking the same thing about a conflicting plugin. So what I will do is disable all again and then enable Eyes Only first and go from there.

I will report back tomorrow night as it is late already here…

Thank you for your quick and excellent support!

No worries. Just let me know whenever you have some more information. We’ll get this worked out for you.

Find anything else out about this, Phil?

    Hey,

Thanks for the reminder. Yes I did find out what is causing it. When I have Eyes Only and the Groups plugin enabled I cannot edit a page or post, just goes to a blank screen after a very long timeout.

If I disable either plugin all works fine again…

So something with either plugin is causing the conflict…

Here is where you can find the groups plugin: https://www.itthinx.com/plugins/groups/

I totally didn’t see your reply until just now. I’ll look into this. Thanks for the update.
