Breaks Multisite Again with 4.2.2 upgrade

We’re running the premium version of the plugin 4.0 – I’ve taken over a client’s website from a previous developer and we’ve been unable to update to later versions because only the previous developer had that info, so if this is related to an outdated plugin and you could tell us how to upgrade, that would be great.

We just updated to the latest version of WordPress and this plugin is causing the following error when going to the network dashboard:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/content/...

etc.

Any help available for how to fix this? Thank you!
