I’ve tested the plugin all the way back to version 7 and this issue seems to be persistent. When in the block editor and choosing tablet or mobile view, the content view port collapses and cannot be viewed for editing.

This is broken in the base plugin, by turning off the plugin it works again across several websites we have your plugin and pro version installed on.

    Hi,

this is a WordPress issue introduced with 6.7.

It was initially scheduled to be fixed in 6.7.1 but unfortunately, the WP team has pushed this back to version 6.7.2: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/66629

Thanks, we’ll hold out until 6.7.2 has the fix applied. In the meantime is there a way to set the default nature of the SEOPress meta boxes to be collapsed instead of expanded. We have a large multisite and use your Pro version as well and our average user will only see the content area disappear without knowing they have to collapse the meta box area to see their content when editing in tablet & mobile.

A solution is to use the universal SEO metabox instead of the classic SEO metaboxes:

SEO,?Advanced,?Appearance, check “Enable the universal SEO metabox for the Block Editor (Gutenberg)” and save changes.

Make sure “Disable the universal SEO metabox” is unchecked.

Thanks, without the ability to control the settings networkwide in a multisite we implemented a code solution to automatically collapse the meta boxes by default.
