Kindly deactivate the plugin while taking backup for the staging site.
The error indicates that the cache path is already declared, which means at the time of generating the staging directory path of the breeze cache is already there which indicates that there is no need to redeclare it.
Once the site move on staging then enable it.

    Thank you for your reply!
Could deactivate and reactivate your plugin often give me problems with my site? Because I have a habit of working a lot on staging sites, so I should deactivate and reactivate your plugin at least once a day.

No there is no need to be active/reactive multiple times.
Let me explain: while you create staging of your application (mainsite.com) then you take backup of its DB which contain all URLs mainsite.com, while you upload the backup DB of mainsite.com on staging URL like stagingsite.com, so all the URLs must be called from stagingsite.com.
You can handle it by updating the permalink structure of the staging site, while you update the permalink it will automatically replace the staging site URL. OR you may deactivate the plugin at the time of creating a backup of the staging site.

    Thanks again for your reply.
Unfortunately I’m not very technical, so I honestly didn’t understand what you mean… The only thing I’m able to do is deactivate the Breeze plugin before creating the staging site and reactivate it (on the original site) after creating it. As I often create staging sites and then delete and recreate them due to incorrect changes, I should deactivate the Breeze plugin from my original site often to avoid the error with breeze. I was just wondering if this might give long term problems with the original site, not the staging site, like broken layouts or similar.

Thank you again for the help.

No problem at all, Let me explain in a simple manner.
Once you configure breeze settings properly so it would not break the layout by activating/deactivating.
if you do not want to deactivate Breeze at your live site, so it’s not a big deal you just update the permalink at your staging site.
I have attached the screenshot which helps to update the permalink.
    Please have a look
