Bridge Theme demo problem

  • I’m attempting to import the demo files for Qode’s premium Bridge theme (Original demo) but it’s screwing up and I’m getting dozens of warnings all over the homepage that look like this: “Warning: Illegal string offset ‘header_top_area_scroll’ in /home/aliosn9960/public_html/wp-content/themes/bridge/header.php on line 230” etc.

    I notice that when I click the import button for demo the upload is over in about 4 seconds. The import takes at least 30 seconds. Is this the problem? If so, how can I extend the import time?

  • Hi Chevalier,

    Based on the error message you gave, I think something is wrong at the Bridge Theme’s header. If your goal is to import the content and see how it looks and not fixing the theme (I think it’d be better for you to let the theme developer know since it is premium theme), my suggestion is:

    1. Change the theme into default theme
    2. Import the content through Dashboard > Tools > Import
    3. Change the theme back to bridge
    4. Install https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ajax-thumbnail-rebuild/ so we can rebuild the image size to fit bridge’s thumbnail size
    5. Rebuild the thumbnail
    6. Check the theme’s appearance

    I want to show thumbnail images in a grid view in the bridge quode slider theme, how can i do that, is there any settings for this?
